Why I Still Make Everything Made-to-Order

In a world where you can get anything tomorrow — or even in 15 minutes — I know it’s a bit bold to ask you to wait.
But here’s why I do it anyway:
Because I don’t want to make loads. I want to make what’s needed.
Every sweatshirt from The Sweatery is printed to order. It’s not sitting in a warehouse. It doesn’t exist until you say you want it. And that’s exactly the point.
No stockpiles. No waste. No trends.
I could order in 300 sweatshirts upfront. I could play guessing games and hope I’ve picked the right size, style, colour, mood. But that’s how you end up with boxes of things that no one wears and resources that no one respects.
It’s how the fashion industry became one of the biggest polluters in the world.
And I don’t want to be part of that.
Real life over fast fashion
This brand was born in the slow lane. I’ve got narcolepsy. I’m a mum. I’m someone who’s gone through a lot — and come out craving calm, not chaos.
So when you order from me, it might take a few days. But it’s worth the wait.
You're not getting something made months ago in a factory. You’re getting something that was created because you chose it. A mood. A message. A bit of yourself.
Thanks for waiting
Every order gives me a real smile. Every word you choose means something. And every extra day you wait means I don’t have to over-produce, over-hustle, or over-stretch the planet.
So thank you for being part of the slow sweatshirt movement.
